- What is f2s freedom2talk?
f2s freedom2talk is a 'Carrier Pre-Selection' service, also known as CPS. CPS services allow you to choose who carries your telephone calls over the majority of their distance. In short, the opportunity to save money.
In particular, CPS does not require the customer to enter a code or affix a dialing box to their line, the carrier selection is handled automatically at the exchange.

- Will there be any interruption to my current phone service?
None whatsoever.
- What's the difference between freedom2talk and freedom2phone?
freedom2talk is our carrier pre-select (CPS) service which allows you to continue using your phone in exactly the same way to make voice calls and gives you free minutes too.
freedom2phone is our voice over IP (VoIP) service which requires a specific router to be used in order for you to make calls using your Broadband connection. You can make free calls to other freedom2talk customers by using this service.1

The operator does not know whether the called customer has freedom2talk or not. The reverse charge will be billed by BT and appear on the BT bill.

Your call divert service will remain in place, and will be unaffected by freedom2talk.

Calls via the operator are exempt from freedom2talk since the operator set up the call and the charge will be on the BT bill.
- If a customer has a line with Redcare and freedom2talk is activated will there be any loss of service to the customer?
Redcare is connected across the customer's line. This does not affect any normal calls from that line and does not affect any network features that the customer has, including freedom2talk.

No, a freedom2talk order will be rejected if the end-user has Call Barring on their line. The customer must first remove Call Barring and then a new order should be submitted.
